More than 4?
Disney Resorts, in general, are made for families of 4. What do you do if you have 5 or more? One option would be 2 rooms, but often families and friends want to stay together! Read on to find out how you can stay on Disney property and make that happen!
Deluxe Resorts
Deluxe Resorts are the most accommodating for groups of any size! To begin with, the studio accommodations sometimes have a 5th sleeper, though you will need to be sure of this detail as they do not all have this feature. Beyond the studio, there are Villas of various sizes that accommodate up to 12 depending on the size and capacity of the Villa. Other great features that are unique to the Villas include: full kitchens, in room laundry, and sometimes multiple bathrooms and jetted tubs. Add to these amenities access to some delicious Table Service Dining, as well as Signature Dining locations, recreation, and in some cases a spa or child care as well as alternative transportation, and you will have a different level of vacation than you will get at a Moderate or Value Resort. Of course, these amenities do come with a higher price tag, but there are times that a discount code will make them cheaper than the cost of a suite at Art of Animation! Pixie Dust Tip: Always check the price of all levels of accommodations when booking with a discount code. It can be surprising what the best deal is...sometimes!
Moderate Resorts
Moderates sometimes have rooms for 5, but no more. The only exception to this is The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, which will accommodate no more than 6, with 1 bathroom. I love the Moderates! They are peaceful, and offer sit down dining, as well as some other amenities, and sometimes alternative transportation choices that you will not find at the All Star Resorts! Each of then has a different vibe. Definitely worth checking out!
Value Resorts
Value Resorts, in general, accommodate 4 people in a room, with a few exceptions. The Art of Animation has suites for up to 6 people. These small suites have 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette which features a fridge, coffee pot, and microwave. However, keep in mind there are no sit down dining options that you will see at the Moderates and Deluxe. Also, check the price against a Moderate room for 5 or a Deluxe Villa with 1 bedroom. You might be surprised...sometimes!
The absolute, cheapest suite on Disney property is at All Star Music. The Music Suites have 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette very similar to The Art of Animation, but with a much cheaper price tag! Let's face it, cheaper resort accommodations = more money you can spend on food, souvenirs, and extra experiences like parties, tours, and recreation!
