Dining Review: The Maya Grill at Coronado Springs

Availability

On different occasions we have been turned away from The Maya Grill without a reservation. This evening , however, we were delighted to be seated rather quickly without a reservation! I do still recommend making reservations for all Disney Dining locations. this particular restaurant is one of four Table Service locations at Disney's Coronado Springs.

Atmosphere

The restaurant is decorated with a lovey Mayan theme! While dining, you can enjoy live music presented by a single musician playing an acoustic guitar. His playlist included popular Disney tunes as well as some songs likely familiar to mom and dad. All in all, it was lovely and serene.

Offerings

We ordered chips and queso for starters. Both appeared to be made at the restaurant and were accompanied by a trio of delicious salsas. I had the chicken quesadillas, which were undoubtedly the most delicious that I’ve ever had! Along with the quesadillas I enjoyed a Mexican Sangria that was light, fruity, and unassuming. My husband had the delicious and plentiful Chicken Fajitas. Both dishes were delightful!

I did not have any children in my party, but I did notice a few tables over that some children were happily munching on some French fries! Good information for those with children that have specific requirements!

Overall Impression

The restaurant was easy to access, at least on this particular evening, the staff, musicians, and atmosphere in addition to the tasty food all added up nicely to make a lovely dining experience. I recommend this dining location to anyone with a taste for Mexican cuisine! While it is true that I love all things Disney , the attractions, the parades, the fireworks, the characters, the thing I love most at Disney is the dining! Disney Value Resorts: Which one is Best?

Why are they called Value Resorts? Pop Century The Disney Value Resorts are called that because they are the least expensive resorts that Disney has to offer. In other words, staying at one of these will stretch that Disney Budget farther.
